Rebels make their presence felt with cut outs for Darts tie

Slough Town fans can have a cut out of themselves displayed at Sunday’s play-off clash with Dartford, after the Rebels teamed up with ‘FaceinTheCrowd’ to enable supporters to make their presence felt.

Because of COVID-19 restrictions fans won’t be able to cheer on the Rebels in person, but they can make themselves felt on the day by having an image of themselves placed in the stands. The Faceinthecrowd cut outs should be visible when the game is streamed live.

A club statement said: “This is a unique opportunity to feel part of the action whilst helping the club financially in the process. In the event that we progress to the play-off semi-final at Havant & Waterlooville we intend to transport the cut-outs to Westleigh Park so your presence and support can be felt there too.”

The cut outs can be purchased for £25 and they will be available to collect when fans are finally able to return to Arbour Park in person.

Orders must be in by today (Thursday) to be ready in time for Sunday’s game.

W The National League has confirmed that Slough Town’s play-off eliminator with Dartford on Sunday will be streamed live for fans to watch.

The tie will be staged behind closed doors at Arbour Park, but, in partnership with BT Sport and Sportradar, the National League has agreed to stream each of the 10 play-off clashes in National League’s North and South.

The Dartford game will kick-off at 1.30pm and details of how supporters can gain access to watch the match will be released this week.

“Due to matches being played behind closed doors, confirming a broadcast solution for fans has been an important part of our play-offs preparation,” commented National League Chief Executive Michael Tattersall.

“This pioneering streaming service will create an opportunity for exposure of the competition on a global stage.”
