Maidenhead United Women’s duo Nicole Barrett and Megan Halfacree are putting their silky skills to the test as they aim to raise money for the club’s Magpies 150 Challenge.

Barrett and Halfacree have challenged themselves to do 150 keepy-ups each to help with the charitable drive, which is aiming to raise £150,000 for 15 local charities in the club’s 150th year.

The pair are both key members of the Magpies side which has made an encouraging start to the FA Women’s National League season and has progressed to the first round of the Women’s FA Cup. The pair - renowned for their ball juggling antics - are now looking to use their skills for the benefit of local causes.

Barrett, 24, who played soccer in the United States prior to joining Maidenhead in the summer – said she was looking forward to the challenge: “The Magpies 150 Challenge is a great example of something positive coming out of such a tough year for many.

“Megan and I are constantly challenging each other to try new tricks and skills, so when we found out about the 150 Challenge we had to get involved.

“We are excited to be combining our training with raising money for such a brilliant cause dedicated to the community.

“We’re aiming for 150 kick-ups each and we’d love for you to support us and challenge your football friends to get involved with a challenge of their own too!”
