-

The Benefice of the Cookhams are two churches serving the villages of Cookham and Cookham Dean.

As the people of God in the

Benefice of the Cookhams, our aim is to promote and deepen the cause of Jesus Christ among the people of our communities.

To this end, we strive to harness enthusiasm for faith in Jesus Christ through beautiful and challenging worship, through living lives that manifest God’s love, and through living and working together in love and fellowship.

A community enriched by Christian faith, worship and values

Holy Trinity Church, Cookham and St John the Baptist, Cookham Dean together form The Benefice of the Cookhams. The two churches work together for the whole community under the same ministry team.

Whoever you are, wherever you are from, whatever your background, you are welcome here, and you will always be welcome in our church.

Our church building may be closed, but we can still worship together. We are posting short services and prayers on our Facebook page and YouTube channel so that you can pray and worship with us at home.

The choir have recorded hymns and services ‘as live’ before the lockdown available on our online music page.

The Benefice of the Cookhams is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs.

The Diocese of Oxford’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs.

If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

We would like to thank all the healthcare professionals , doctors, nurses, paramedics and others – who continue to give their all in their care of the sick.

May you all be blessed
