Job and volunteer roles

Citizens Advice Bracknell & District and Citizens Advice Maidenhead & Windsor merged in April 2021 to become Citizens Advice East Berkshire.

Due to the current cost of living crisis, demand for our services is set to increase, and we have already seen the number of people needing help with energy debts increase by 14 per cent since last year.

This is just one aspect of the cost of living crisis that people in Bracknell, Maidenhead, Windsor and Slough are struggling to deal with, on top of the price increase of so many other goods and ser vices.

In order to help meet this increased demand for our services, we are looking for passionate people to join us.

We are recruiting for both paid and voluntary roles.

Ways in which you can help people with the cost of living crisis include:

⯀ Seeing what benefits people may be entitled to and then help them to apply

⯀ Helping people work out a budget so that they can better manage their costs; referring people to their local food banks

⯀ Finding out if people can get any grants or discounts on their bills.

These are just a few of the ways we can help people, and if you would like to get involved we would love to hear from you. We are recruiting for these paid roles:

⯀ Training and session supervisors

⯀ Mental health service supervisor

⯀ Mental health service caseworker

⯀ Adviceline advisors

⯀ Outreach caseworker.

The voluntary roles we are recruiting for include assessors and advisors who assist our clients to get the right help.

You would receive full training to help people deal with their problems.

The closing date for all our roles is April 24, 2022. Applications will be reviewed as they are received so we’d love to hear from you as soon as possible.
