In the public notices this week, a lap dancing club in Maidenhead town centre is seeking to renew its sexual entertainment licence.

Licensing

The Honeypot gentleman’s club, based in Queen Street, is required by law to apply for a new licence on a yearly basis.

The lap dancing venue has asked Windsor and Maidenhead council for a licence that covers the hours of 11am to 5am, Monday to Saturday.

If approved, the licence will also allow the club to trade from 11am to 2am the following day on Sundays.

Any interested parties can make written representations by contacting Licensing Team, Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, Town Hall, St Ives Road, Maidenhead, Berkshire, SL6 1RF.

Alternatively, email licensing@rbwm.gov.uk.

The deadline for responses is Wednesday, April 19.

Planning

An outline planning application has been submitted to build five one-bed apartments on land behind 45a Queen Street.

Windsor and Maidenhead council approved outline planning permission for the construction of four homes on the site back in May 2020.

The latest application includes plans for one additional property with the building set to be 400mm taller than before.

There is no parking proposed at the development.

No affordable housing is required due to the number of apartments planned.

Search 23/00633/OUT at www.rbwm.gov.uk/planning to view the application in full.

Traffic

A road closure is planned in Westborough Road next month.

On Tuesday, April 11 the road will be shut from its junction with Boyn Hill Road in a northerly direction to the northern boundary of 144 Westborough Road.

The closure will be in place from 8am until 6pm.

Works will be taking place on fibre optic ducting during the closure.

Part of Bridle Road will be closed next month so sewer repair works can be carried out. The road will be shut between 29 and 31 Bridle Road from 8am on Tuesday, April 11 to 5pm on Friday, April 21.

A diversion route will be available via Mossy Vale, A308 Furze Platt Road, Malvern Road and Bridle Road.
