“Being shortlisted for the awards could be the credential that you need to win a decent contract.”

This is the view of CUBE Video CEO James Hakesley who is encouraging people to apply to the Maidenhead & Windsor Business and Community awards.

The production company based in Amerden Park in Taplow will sponsor the award for Best Marketing Campaign.

“Being a previous winner, we know what type of impact the awards can have. When it comes to getting new opportunities, it can be a stamp of approval,” he said.

The awards ceremony will recognise excellence in business of all sizes, and is organised by the Maidenhead & District

Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Baylis Community Media CIC and Lime Blue Solutions.

Cube Video won Best Micro Business at the last business awards in 2019.

James said: “As a local business, the awards are important for staff and employees to celebrate the impact they’re having in the community.

“It’s important to bring people together and as local businesses, we should collaborate with the people around us.

“Even being a finalist can be a big step up.”

Entry for the award categories is free and open to any business or individual based in Maidenhead, Windsor and surrounding areas, and members of the Maidenhead & District Chamber of Commerce.

Discussing the category, James said: “We want to see unique ideas that put the story at the forefront of the campaign.

“It’s not all about making a campaign shiny and look good, it has to have an impact – whether it’s a charity film or branded ad.

“The main thing is telling a good story and being creative, whether it’s animation or video, or even TikTok.

“It’s all about the idea and how they have captivated

the audience.”
