A licensing application for The Honeypot and plans for flats above the former Halifax bank feature in this week’s public notices.

Licensing

A town centre lap dancing club has submitted an application to renew its sexual entertainment venue licence.

The Honeypot gentleman’s club is seeking permission from the council to continue operating from its base at 81 Queen Street.

If approved, the licence will allow the venue to operate from 11am until 5am the following day, Monday to Saturday and from 11am until 2am on Sundays.

Anyone who wants to make a written response to the application should contact Licensing Team, Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, Town Hall, St Ives Road, Maidenhead, Berkshire, SL6 1RF. Alternatively, email licensing @rbwm.gov.uk.

The deadline for responses is Thursday, April 18.

The organisers behind the Cookham Festival have applied for a premises licence to host this year’s event.

The festival takes place every two years to raise funds to promote arts in the area.

As part of this, an event is set to be held at Formosa Place, Mill Lane, Cookham, on Saturday, May 18.

Permission is being sought from the council for alcohol to be served at the event from 1pm until 11pm.

Planning

An application has been submitted to convert the second and third floors of the former Halifax bank building into seven flats.

The upper floors of the building, at 16-20 Maidenhead High Street, are currently vacant having previously been used as office space.

Applicant Hallview Ltd is seeking permission for a change of use which, if approved, would allow the floors to be converted into residential use.

Developers are currently able to change a site from commercial use to residential use through the ‘prior approval’ process which removes the need for a full planning application.

The application states that the ground floor and first floor will be retained for commercial purposes and don’t form part of the plans.

Visit rbwm.gov.uk/ home/planning and search 24/00558/CLAMA to view the application.

A separate application has been submitted to convert the second and third floors of the former Halifax bank building into nine flats.

Applicant Hallview Ltd is also behind these plans.

Search 24/00559/CLAMA to view the application.

Traffic

A road closure is planning in King Street this weekend.

Vehicles and pedestrians will be unable to use the road between its junction with Broadway, Keys Place and Queen Street from 10pm on Saturday until 10pm on Sunday.

The closure has been authorised so a crane can be set up for a nearby development. An alternative route for pedestrians will be via Broadway, the A308 Grenfell Place and A308 King Street.
