Motorhome in M66 blaze
A MOTORHOME has been gutted in a fire on the M66.
Eyewitnesses described seeing the driver and passengers standing on the grass verge, well away from the blazing vehicle yesterday afternoon. One witness said: “It was after the Ramsbottom junction on the way to Rawtenstall.
“It was on the hard shoulder with about five people stood near it.
“There was no sign of a crash as far as I could tell.”
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said it was not known how the fire in the vehicle started. Two fire engines were dispatched to help douse the blaze.
