DIARY Tears of joy as Chelsee reveals she’s pregnant
HOLLYOAKS STAR AND HER BOYFRIEND ‘OVER THE MOON’ AFTER SURPRISE NEWS THAT BABY IS DUE IN THE SUMMER
HOLLYOAKS star Chelsee Healey has revealed her surprise news that she is expecting a baby. The former Waterloo Road star, from Eccles, admits that it was something of a shock for her and boyfriend Jack Malloy – but they are over the moon with the news.
Chelsee is expecting her little one on July 16.
Former Strictly Come Dancing finalist Chelsee and her boyfriend told this week’s OK! Magazine of the tearful moment they found out they are expecting their first baby together.
Chelsee, 28, says: “When I saw the test was positive I started crying, but they were happy tears.”
She explains: “It wasn’t something we’d planned but now we are having a baby we couldn’t be happier.” Jack adds: “It was definitely a shock but I was over the moon when she told me. I think it’s still sinking in. I can’t wait to be a dad.” Aw ... and Chelsee credits her own mum as the inspiration for what kind of mum she would like to be. Chelsee is ‘best friends’ with her lovely mum Beverley, who still lives in Eccles. Chelsee said in the OK! interview: “My mum is my best friend so I’d love to have that relationship with my child. “I know I’m going to be totally obsessed with him or her. I’ve got a lot of love to give, this baby is going to be so loved.”
Meanwhile, Coronation Street star Faye Brookes has been telling the same magazine how she’s feeling broody with her boyfriend, Pop Idol star Gareth Gates.
And Gareth says he will pop the question, but at a time that Faye is least expecting it. Faye says: “We’re both broody as Gareth’s sisters have both just had babies and we’ve been holding them.
“We’re definitely going to get married and have babies, we’re just not quite there yet.”
The couple, speaking on a romantic trip to Paris, have been together for more than four years after meeting when they played the lead roles in Legally Blonde the Musical.
Flixton actress Faye, who plays Kate Connor in the ITV1 soap, says she travels to wherever former Pop Idol finalist Gareth is in the country whenever she gets a few days off from filming the Weatherfield-based soap.
OK! Magazine is on sale now. SUPER WAG Coleen Rooney was sent flying – as she took part in a spot of skydiving at Trafford Park.
Style Queen Coleen, wife of Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney, eschewed her usual stylish togs to get kitted out in the standard issue safety suit and helmet to head into the special air tunnel at the iFLY centre.
Coleen was joined by her footballing hubby – but he stayed safely on the sidelines to watch his wife and their sons Kai and Klay defy gravity at the centre.
The Diary hears that Coleen is a bit of a natural in the air – and has taken to flying like a duck to water.
Instructor Fiodor Matyskin was the man guiding Coleen in the wind tunnel, while general manager John Rogers was also on hand for their weekend visit.
And it seems the skydiving centre has been something of a celeb hotspot this weekend, with Busted star Matt Willis
Hheading along on Friday after his band’s big gig at the 02 Apollo to go flying too. A spokeswoman for iFLY said: “Matt and the band manager Tristan flew with us and did some recording for something they are doing called ‘Life on the road’. Matt and Tristan were really lovely people; it was great for us to look after them and they sure enjoyed the flying.”
