TWINS Ben and Tom Curry have signed five-year contracts at Sale Sharks after impressing in the first team this season.

The 18-year-olds graduated from the club’s academy system – which also produced the likes of Ross Harrison, Josh Beaumont, Will Addison and Sam James amongst others.

Their form in the Premiership has also seen them receive international honours with the brothers called up for the England U20’s Six Nations campaign.

Tom featured in the U20’s opening games and scored a try against France on his debut while Ben picked up the man of the match award on his international bow against Italy.

Tom also became the youngest player to score a try on their Premiership debut at Bristol earlier on this season.

Director of rugby Steve Diamond believes that the pair signing long-term deals at the club represents that Sale are committed to giving youngsters from the region a chance.

He said: “I’m delighted that both Ben and Tom have signed long-term deals at the club. This shows our commitment to bringing through the best of the North West’s youngsters.”

Sale have already announced the signing of Scotland international Josh Strauss for next season and Diamond revealed that there are more announcements to come.

“When we get them finalised we’ll announce them. We’re pretty on three or four deals, some are existing and some are new. And we’re still looking out there for one or two more.”
