Zlat cost me a fortune... but I don’t care

-

our popular Double Delight promotion.

The veteran striker who has emerged as United’s undisputed new talisman was already the most popular bet nationwide to score first – and when he did it again it was at 11/2 so cost me a small fortune.

No matter, I am still grinning like a Cheshire cat because he got us out of jail against a half-decent Southampton side – and hopefully that 3-2 EFL Cup final win will act as a catalyst.

Betfred have Jose Mourinho’s in-form team – with our 35-year-old superstar striker – at 18/1 to go on and make it a cup treble by landing the FA Cup and Europa League too.

Sadly for us folk in Manchester it is looking like the Premier League title is Chelsea’s to lose with City second, my beloved Reds third, and Spurs fourth. That’s what I reckon and if you agree with me that United will finish ahead of fading Liverpool and Arsenal my predicted top four finish is 12/1 at Betfred.

Finally wasn’t it great to see those new stats that prove that Paul Pogba is making an impact – and like his big mate in the team, Ibrahimovic, will soon answer all his critics.

Pogba has made more completed passes in the opposition half than anyone else. A few more goals and he’d be the complete player like my all-time hero Bryan Robson. With Pogba pulling the strings Ibrahimovic is a good bet at 5/1 with us to pick up the golden boot.
