Suri, King Street Bringing Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavours to King Street, Suri opens in the building left empty by Quill today (Friday).

The restaurant and bar offers refined yet relaxed drinking and dining, with a menu of mezze-style grazing plates such as Lebanese lamb cutlets with roasted garlic, tzatziki and pomegranate; ras el hanout split prawns with avocado, sesame and coriander; and chickpea and root vegetable kibbeh with spiced yoghurt. Grand Pacific, King Street Manchester’s historic Reform Club will reopen as Grand Pacific next week, styled on the grand old colonial hotels of south east Asia.

Blending exotic flavours with English classics, the food offering will include a classical Sunday lunch with roast beef carved at the table, accompanied by live music from the Grand Pacific Palm Court Group. An indulgent high tea will also be available, with sweet treats from far-flung destinations served alongside speciallyblended teas and champagne cocktails.

The ‘tranquil, classic interior’ will incorporate many of the building’s original features along with palm trees and a 25-seat Long Bar inspired by Raffles Hotel in Singapore, serving up exotic cocktails set to an eclectic soundtrack.

The restaurant and bar opens on Friday March 17.
