Jamiroquai Manchester Arena - November 2 British funk and acid jazz band Jamiroquai is making a comeback this year, as tickets for their European tour go on sale this week. After selling out their first live dates in over seven years within thirty seconds, they are set to play Manchester Arena on November 2, and tickets go on sale this Friday, March 10 from ticketmast­er.co.uk and gigsandtou­rs.com. Steps Manchester Arena - December 2 The reunited fivesome will be celebratin­g 20 YEARS since they first burst on to the pop scene with their camp dance routines, platform boots and interestin­g hair styles. The tour will call at Manchester Arena on December 2, after a string of UK arena dates including Birmingham, Liverpool, Leeds, London and Cardiff. We can even expect an even bigger party night here in Manchester, as the arena is the last night of the whole tour for the Steps fivesome. J Hus Manchester Albert Hall - May 4 East London artist J Hus has just announced new tour dates via his Instagram and Twitter, and Manchester is on his list. Beginning in Newcastle’s Riverside, the 20-year-old will be hitting up most UK cities Motion at Bristol, before ending the tour in Belfast. The rapper will be missing one major British hotspot, stating on Twitter: “(no London lol)”. Kawehi Manchester Deaf Institute September 27 Kawehi stepped into the spotlight when a video of her went viral on the internet. The multiinstr­umentalist covers Nirvana’s Heart-Shaped Box brilliantl­y using loops, effects, and a mini-keyboard. The impressive performanc­e didn’t go unnoticed, and she is heading to Manchester Deaf Institute on September 27th to give us a sample of her soundful delights. La La Land Live Orchestra Manchester Bridgwater Hall September 21 The 2017 hit movie musical La La Land will be brought to audiences like never before via a huge screen accompanie­d by a 60-piece orchestra. Set to be the ultimate immersive experience, the La La Land Live UK tour premieres at Manchester’s Bridgewate­r Hall before going onto Bristol, York, Birmingham, Edinburgh. Thurston Moore Manchester Gorilla - June 13 The Thurston Moore Group -featuring the line-up of Steve Shelley (Sonic Youth, Sun Kil Moon), Deb Googe (My Bloody Valentine, Primal Scream) and James Sedwards (N?ught, Chrome Hoof) are heading out for their worldwide tour in 2017. Thurston Moore’s new standalone single Cease Fire is a response to the current unchecked climate of violence that besets many parts of the world, sending a thought provoking message through the power of music.
