- FOOTBALL By SHELDAN KEAY @MENSports

ROCHDALE finally ended their 10-game winless run after a dominant 4-1 victory against Gillingham at the Crown Oil Arena.

Nathaniel Mendez-Laing put Dale ahead with a fine effort on 10 minutes, but Josh Parker equalised for Gillingham shortly afterwards.

Ian Henderson netted just after the half-hour mark to restore his side’s lead, before Callum Camps added a third at the start of the second half.

Gillingham were reduced to 10 men on 59 minutes when Zesh Rehman was sent off, with Peter Vincenti’s goal wrapping up the win in the closing stages.

Rochdale are now 10th, seven points off the League One play-offs with games in hand.

BOLTON WANDERERS moved up to second place after a 2-1 victory at home to Northampton Town.

It looked like Bolton were heading for defeat at the Macron Stadium when Michael Smith gave the visitors the lead just before the hour mark, but late goals from Adam Le Fondre and Filipe Morais earned their side all three points.

OLDHAM ATHLETIC climbed a place to 19th after a hard-fought 1-1 draw at Peterborough United.

Latics led through Lee Erwin’s 11th-minute strike, but Junior Morias netted in the second half, meaning Oldham are three points above the relegation places.

BURY also earned a point after holding play-off contenders Millwall to a 0-0 draw at the Den, leaving the Shakers four points clear of the drop zone.
