/Sign up for a new apartment in the clouds

THIS new business class cabin looks more like a mini-apartment in the sky.

Unveiled by Qatar Airways this week, the fully-customisable QSuite will allow travellers to create their own private rooms in the sky.

The suites include double beds and adjustable panels and movable TV monitors on the centre four seats to let colleagues, friends or families travelling together transform the space.

This allows groups to work, dine and socialise together in the sky.

The airline is also launching a new food and beverage concept, with a new menu in addition to the existent ‘dine on demand’ service.

QSuite was launched at ITB Berlin, the world’s largest travel trade show, this week.

The new QSuite concept will be retrofitted on to the existing Qatar Airways fleet starting from June.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker, said: “With these innovations, Qatar Airways has revolutionised the way we serve our Business Class travellers, enabling our passengers to enjoy a First Class experience in Business Class.

“This is truly Business Class as never seen before and is entirely in keeping with our Premium product and service philosophy.

“You choose when you rest, and when you want entertainment; we offer more choices than any other airline.

“It only makes sense to give you the choice to make your own cabin-within-a-cabin, creating double QSuites or quadrants.”
