CITY boss Pep Guardiola’s strict dietary regime has now extended to chocolates and sugary snacks being removed from the Blues’ Etihad Campus.

The Catalan has already banned players from consuming certain fast foods like pizza, as well as soft drinks.

But now all staff at City’s academy have to get their sweet fix away from the premises, as Guardiola’s push for healthy living spreads throughout the club. While chocolates are still allowed on site, they are no longer available to purchase, as they were before the new manager’s arrival.

Guardiola’s nutritionist, Silvia Tremoleda, has started providing healthy meals for all staff, rather than just the team.

Dishes consist of fish, quinoa, pasta, salad, rice and chicken.

Free fruit and gym membership have long-been available to club employees.

Tremoleda is well-known in Spain as an author and former dietitian for Barcelona, working with superstar player Lionel Messi.

A former triathlete and professional tennis player, she has been entrusted to implement the exacting dietary standards demanded by Guardiola.

The City manager exiled players like Sami Nasri from first-team training after deeming them to be overweight when he first took over in July.

He also expects players to get adequate sleep and rest time in between matches in order to meet up to his famed high-pressing game.

Yaya Toure is one player who has noticeably lost weight since his arrival.

Under Guardiola the players eat breakfast and lunch together at the Academy.

As well as dietary rules, Guardiola has also banned wi-fi in certain areas of the campus to improve interaction between players.

Tremoleda has posted examples of her menu on her Instagram page, with dishes including avocado, asparagus, tuna tartare, king prawns and smoothies.

Guardiola had only been in his new job for a matter of weeks when he began banishing players from first team training.

In the summer defender Gael Clichy revealed: “On the field, outside the field, every detail counts. For example, you often hear managers say being healthy is really important.

“With him, if your weight is too high, you’re not training with the team.”
