Tom’s all set to star in new ITV consumer show
HUSBAND OF CORRIE STAR CATHERINE TYLDESLEY GETS HIS CHANCE TO SHINE
PERSONAL trainer Tom Pitfield, the husband of Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley, is launching his own TV career with a new ITV1 show. Tom will be one of the three experts on new consumer show Eat, Shop, Save which will launch in the summer, hosted by Good Morning Britain’s Ranvir Singh.
He will be giving his top tips on exercise, nutrition and leading a healthy lifestyle on the ITV1 show, which will aim to help families ‘eat, shop and save their way to happiness.’
Tom works as a freelance fitness consultant at Hale Country Club in Cheshire, which is where he first met Corrie favourite Cath back in 2014.
The couple have a two-year-old son Alfie James together, and married in a fairytale ceremony in June 2016 surrounded by Cath’s Corrie co-stars and friends and family.
Tom said: “I’m very excited to be part of the expert team within the new ITV1 factual series Eat, Shop, Save which will start in the Summer.
“I’ve been in the industry over 10 years and I’ve learned that reaching out to families as a whole is very important for changes to diet, exercise and lifestyle to become part of daily life.”
Both Tom and Cath are passionate about health and fitness, and recently launched their own family instagram, The Pitfields, to inspire and educate families on how to live a healthier lifestyle with fun and inexpensive ideas.
He added: “As I am a dad and very family orientated, I know how crucial it is to set a good example with a healthy lifestyle.
“I’m sure Eat, Shop, Save will educate and motivate a lot of people.”
Tom impressed producers after he was approached to screen test for the new show. He will appear alongside medicinal chef Dale Pinnock and investment expert Gemma Godfrey as part of the team who will help to inspire viewers with tips on improving your finances, health and happiness.
