SORTED Zabaleta to leave Blues

...BUT TOURE’S STILL UNSURE ABOUT HIS BLUES FUTURE

- EXCLUSIVE By JAMES ROBSON

PABLO Zabaleta is set to leave City after Pep Guardiola called time on his Etihad career.

But Yaya Toure has been left in limbo - with the Blues still to make contact with the Ivorian’s representatives over his future.

Toure and Zabaleta are two of seven players who could be denied a fitting send-off as Guardiola refuses to publicly confirm who will be offered new contracts at the end of the season.

The City manager has made a final decision on the fates of Jesus Navas, Gael Clichy, Bacary Sagna, Willy Caballero, Tosin Adarabioyo, Zabaleta and Toure, who are all out of contract this summer.

It is believed Navas will be offered a new deal while there is growing confidence within the club that acadamy graduate Adarabioyo will sign a contract after months of negotiations. But Toure is among a group who have been left to sweat.

City are risking a public relations blunder if the 34-year-old is told he is surplus to requirements after Tuesday’s final home game of the season against West Brom.

That would be the last chance for supporters to say goodbye to one of the greatest players in the club’s history.

Zabaleta’s position is clearer within the Etihad, with City hopeful the popular Argentine’s final appearance will secure a sell-out crowd against Tony Pulis’ side.

The 32-year-old conducted an interview this week in which he hinted that his time was up at City. He said: “As players we cannot play for 20 years. I’m not getting any younger and we see new players coming in for the future, that is normal in football, and you have to accept, especially for this club.”
