Keano lets ex-Blue have both barrels

ROY Keane ridiculed Celta Vigo striker John Guidetti’s finishing after the former City striker spurned a glorious chance to knock United out of the Europa League.

Guidetti miscued a 96th minute chance with the goal gaping and was so devastated by his miss he was still crying when Celta players reemerged after full-time to thank their fans, who were kept behind inside Old Trafford.

The Sweden international had earlier headed hopelessly wide when unmarked and his late fluff made United’s aggregate victory all the more sweeter after Guidetti had reacted theatrically to a shove from Antonio Valencia during the earlier melee which resulted in Eric Bailly and Facundo Roncaglia’s dismissals.

And United great Keane twisted the knife with his uncompromising analysis.

“He’s never looked nimble in his career, to be fair,” Keane told ITV. “Just look at the guy.”

“First of all, credit to Man United, they have got through to the final,” Keane added. “But the level of their performance tonight, and letting a team like Celta Vigo dictate the game, is not a good reflection on a team like Man United.”

Keane has also grown weary with Jose Mourinho’s repeated complaints about United’s fixture congestion.

“He is getting his excuses in early in case they get beaten,” Keane opined. “But you would think United will have too much for Ajax.”
