Jason wants a pop reunion

-

EIGHTIES pop heart-throb Jason Donovan is hoping to see Take That when he heads to Manchester.

Jason, who is starring in Million Dollar Quartet at the Palace Theatre, is looking forward to catching up with his pal Gary Barlow and bandmates Howard Donald and Mark Owen, who will be in their home city at the same time on their Wonderland tour.

And Neighbours legend Jason would love the chance to see them perform again during their six dates at the Manchester Arena, which start this Thursday. He said: “Take That will be performing in Manchester so I’m hoping to go and see them.”

Last year pop fans were thrilled when Jason was joined on stage by pal Gary for a rendition of Back For Good during his Ten Good Reasons and Greatest Hits tour at the Hammersmith Apollo.

Singer-songwriter Gary, who won Ivor Novello and Brit awards for the 1995 ballad, prompted huge screams when he stepped out on stage and they sang one of Take That’s biggest hits together.

Jason is currently touring the UK in Million Dollar Quartet, inspired by the famous recording session that brought together rock and roll icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins.

Later this year he’ll be returning with his new tour – an intimate in-conversation event called Jason and His Amazing Midlife Crisis.

The tour comes to Stockport Plaza on Wednesday, October 11, and Buxton Opera House on Monday, November 6.
