Bar brings Euro final to the fans

-

UNITED fans who missed out on tickets to the Europa League final are being invited to a screening of the match at a city centre nightspot.

United’s game with Ajax at Stockholm’s Friends Arena will be shown at Tiger Tiger in Withy Grove.

Fans need to buy tickets for the screening, organised by the Manchester United Supporters Trust, which have now been made available online.

Organisers say the entire 2,200 capacity venue will be opened to supporters, with doors opening at 5pm.

It will only be open to over 18s, but organisers say another venue will be arranged for younger fans.

The event page states: ‘Stretford End comes to Tiger Tiger – Europa League Final 2017 screening – doors open at 5pm.

‘Please arrive as early as possible to reduce the chance of any problems getting in. Match screening event ends after the trophy presentation 10.45pm latest, but bars will remain open until midnight subject to demand’. Tickets cost £3. About 10,000 United fans have been allocated tickets for next Wednesday’s final in the Swedish capital.

Applicants officially learn if they have been successful in the ticket ballot held on Wednesday.

The Friends Arena is used by Swedish side AIK and the country’s national team, and has a total capacity of just over 50,000.
