COMMUNITIE­S across Greater Manchester have paid tribute to the victims of the Manchester Arena attack.

Scores of unofficial vigils, balloon releases and touching memorials have popped up all over the region.

Meanwhile, schools, youth groups, churches and mosques have also shown their support.

From crafters giving out knitted hearts, to school children giving out roses to strangers, people have shown their support for the victims and those affected in any way they can.

Mini shrines have appeared in towns and villages dotted around Manchester in a touching show of solidarity and mourning.

WYTHENSHAW­E ON Tuesday the community came together in Wythenshaw­e to hold a vigil in the civic centre.
