Players taking chance to celebrate Europa Cup win

UNITED players headed into Manchester city centre on Thursday night to celebrate the club’s Europa League triumph over Ajax.

Juan Mata enjoyed a meal at the restaurant he owns with his father, Tapeo And Wine, while Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford were spotted around the city as they savoured their third major trophy within a year.

The duo started at Albert’s Schloss, and then went bowling at All Star Lanes before moving onto Spinningfields, where they were spotted at the Oast House before ending the night at the Club Liv nightclub.

Lingard posted a video during United’s bowling night with club chef Mike, who dabbed for the United midfielder’s Instagram Story.

A number of United players have already headed out of the country for some downtime after the 64-game season. Chris Smalling caught an early flight for his stag do, where his entourage included former United goalkeeper Ben Amos.

Daley Blind has returned to his home town of Amsterdam while Anthony Martial is in Paris ahead of a possible recall to the France national squad by coach Didier Deschamps.

United players are understood to have received substantial bonuses for winning the Europa League, which has guaranteed them a place in the Champions League group stage next season.

United manager Jose Mourinho who has returned to London to spend time with his family - praised his players after the victory.
