WHIRELAND, the financial services firm, is moving to One New Bailey.

The firm has exchanged contracts with English Cities Fund (ECf) to take 6,610 sq ft at the vibrant riverside development.

Specialising in private wealth management, wealth planning and corporate broking services, WHIreland will occupy part of the first floor on a 10-year lease.

With plans to recruit and grow its wealth management and planning teams, WHIreland selected the new development on the banks of the River Irwell due to its proximity to nearby Spinningfields.

This latest tenant takes occupancy levels at One New Bailey to 74 per cent following the signings of Menagerie and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer last year.

ECf’s development director, Phil Mayall, said: “Interest in the remaining space at One New Bailey has been building for some time so we’re delighted to announce that WHIreland is our latest occupier.

“One New Bailey is really coming to life now, with the hugely popular Menagerie operating on the ground floor and Freshfields due to move in within the next few months, our vision for a vibrant business and leisure destination is becoming a reality. The success of One New Bailey only increases our confidence in the next stages of the wider scheme which we’re looking forward to progressing this year.”

Richard Killingbeck, WHIreland CEO said: “We have an exciting growth strategy for our business over the coming years and we are delighted to be moving to new high quality offices at One New Bailey. “The move to brand new and attractive premises enhances our presence in Manchester for both clients and our staff as we continue to grow our wealth management and wealth planning services in the city and the North West.” Following the completion of the internal fit-out, WHIreland is expected to move from its existing offices on John Dalton Street in to One New Bailey in July. JLL and Cushman and Wakefield are the letting agents for the New Bailey scheme. ECf is a joint venture between Muse Developments, Legal & General and the Homes and Communities Agency in partnership with Salford council.
