Why’ve you got tat new look, Lisa?

-

LOOSE Women panellist Lisa Riley was almost unrecognisable as she stepped out with a dramatic makeover while filming a new Manchester-based drama. The former Emmerdale star has a new edgy tattooed look for her role in Age Before Beauty by Poldark writer Debbie Horsfield, who previously penned the hit hairdressing wars drama Cutting It which was also set in the Northern Quarter.

Manchester will once again provide the backdrop for the new BBC One drama about a family-run beauty salon, dubbed ‘Cutting It for a new generation.’

Lisa, who plays tattooist Tina, was looking more rock chick than Loose Woman as she turned heads in a leather gilet and black leather-look leggings with braided hair.

Starring alongside Bury actress Lisa, who recently starred in the harrowing mini-series Three Girls about the Rochdale sex abuse scandal, is Royle Family and Downton Abbey star Sue Johnston, Mr Selfridge’s Polly Walker and Grantchester’s Robson Green.

Former Brookside actress Sue, who plays Northern Soul fanatic spray tan technician Ivy-Rae in the new show, wore a kooky pair of denim dungarees and gold platform trainers.

The six-part family saga is set within the beauty industry featuring sibling rivalries and unconventional parenting through the generations.

Warrington actress Polly plays homemaker Bel who is begged by her best friend Teddy, played by Green, to step in and rescue the family’s downat-heel beauty salon.
