Rebirth of gentle spirit

-

EVEN though the Jeremy Corbyn effect was big, it did not explain everything that happened in the election. It could be that the people themselves may have changed: We may have a new species of homo sapiens walking the streets of Britain. A species of gentle spirit, of unity and togetherness, that is aghast at the realisation about the country we have become, who understand that now is the right time for the restoration of moral clarity to the country’s soul.

We sometimes forget we are part of nature and that evolution is an ongoing process. The current events can be traced back to the post-war era of love and flower-power when younger people began to aspire to a better, peaceful way of living with one another. Jeremy Corbyn is one, among many, of that generation who has not been deterred from continuing to live the values and principles that so many shared and espoused then. Subsequent generations have been born with a similar innate desire for peace, justice and equality and were looking for someone in the public arena who could lead them. Jeremy Corbyn stood out as burning beacon in a black night. Being true to his principles has made him a role model and winner in the end. Geoff Naylor
