We have not taken control
I FIND it ironic that the small majority who voted to leave the EU, because they wanted to ‘take back control,’ continue to back Theresa May and her privatisation agenda.
Our energy supplies, railways, postal service, motor industry and tax offices are mainly owned by global corporate shareholders and foreign governments, not to mention vast parts of London and increasing slices of other cities and country estates.
The Tories will increase the selling-off of the NHS, defence procurement, prisons and probation, schools, care for the elderly (through the ‘dementia tax’), and the processing of the disabled and unemployed. What’s left?
The only way to take back control is to vote against the Tories and their paymasters in global corporations and the billionaire owners of major daily newspapers. Steve Roman, Manchester
