Worrall aims to prove he is a winner

-

STEVE Worrall says he is anxious to prove himself in tonight’s 2017 Integro British Final - the winner of which is crowned British Champion and earns a call up to the British Speedway Grand Prix as wildcard.

The 25-year old was drawn 9th in the star-studded event, at Manchester’s National Speedway Stadium, and launches BT Sport’s coverage of the British Premiership League.

Rentruck Aces captain Craig Cook, who is equally determined to take the glory of Britain after two years as the UK’s second seed, was drawn 14th in the biggest meeting on the national calendar.

Competing against them is a host of huge names but the scale of the competition does nothing to intimidate the Belle Vue No.2 and says it offers the perfect opportunity to measure his progress this year.

Worrall said: “I’ll definitely be looking to improve on last year’s result. It’s one of my goals for this season and with it being my home track I’ll be going into it much more confident than ever.”
