THE British Sound Project Manchester’s biggest indoor festival – returns to Victoria Warehouse in September, celebrating the best in British music.

The organisers behind the event have teamed up with local radio station XS Manchester to run a competition for two aspiring bands, where the winners will be part of the line-up.

The first day of the festival – Friday, September 29 – will feature Twin Atlantic, Deaf Havana, Band of Skulls (DJ set), Lonely The Brave, Pulled Apart By Horses, Fatherson, Sittin Pretty and Freedom Of the City – with a huge headliner yet to be announced.

Saturday September 30, features White Lies, The Horrors, Toy, Foals (DJ set), Airways, White and New York Tourists.

The British Sound Project champions some of the best British bands in indie and rock – featuring a line-up established artists alongside new breakthrough acts.

The inaugural festival last year included Primal Scream, Black Grape, Badly Drawn Boy and Eliza & The Bear.

Co-organiser Steven Wood wanted to create an indoor music event towards the end of the UK musical festival calendar, when the weather is a little more unpredictable.

“We’ve been really pleased with the response to last year’s British Sound Project and looking forward to expanding it into a twoday indoor festival,” he said.

“The line-up is looking brilliant for both days and we have the competition to find two new bands to perform – one each day.

“There will also be VIP ticket giveaways in the next few weeks, so keep looking out for updates on social media.”
