JUVENTUS have confirmed they have parted company with Dani Alves ‘after agreeing to a termination of the player’s contract’ ahead of his expected move to City.

The 34-year-old enjoyed a stunning season with the Serie A giants and was directly involved in 12 goals as the Bianconeri won yet another Scudetto and reached the Champions League final.

The Brazilian had a year left on his contract at the Juventus Stadium, but was keen on a reunion with Pep Guardiola – having won 14 trophies under the Catalan at Barcelona.

And, after confirming that his professional relationship with the club had ended in an Instagram post on Tuesday night, Juventus have now made it official.

“Juventus Football Club is to part company with Dani Alves after agreeing to a termination of the player’s contract,” a statement read.

“Alves lifted two trophies in his single season in Turin, contributing to a third consecutive domestic league and cup double for the club before helping the team reach the UEFA Champions League final.

“The Brazilian made a total of 33 appearances for the Bianconeri, having a hand in 12 goals (six goals, six assists), seven of which came in European matches.” Alves is expected to fulfil a lifelong ambition of playing in the Premier League by making the move to the Etihad and appeared to be in an airport with his two children on Thursday. Gabriel Jesus has even revealed he spoke to compatriot about his future and hopes he will join him in Manchester. “I spoke to him, but he didn’t specify what he’s going to do,” he told Esporte Interativo. “We’ll see if it comes to fruition and Dani comes to City. “I don’t know if there’s an offer but I think Guardiola can make a difference. Nothing is certain, but I hope he comes to City and we can celebrate it.” Meanwhile, Aaron Mooy has completed his clubrecord transfer to Huddersfield for a fee of £8m, the Premier League new boys have confirmed. The 26-year-old has signed a three-year deal with the option of a further year. A number of performance-related add-ons have also been inserted into the deal. Mooy has become the most expensive Australian footballer of all-time, with his £8m fee eclipsing the £5.75m Newcastle United paid Middlesbrough for Mark Viduka back in 2009. Gabriel Jesus
