A WOMAN was left feeling ‘degraded’ by a car wash attendant who repeatedly groped her while cleaning her car.

Ibrahim Khazari’s victim was subjected to a sex attack as he wiped down the interior of her vehicle and made sleazy remarks, including telling her she had ‘nice legs’ and a ‘nice big a**.’

Now Khazari, 24, Rochdale Road, Moston, has been sentenced for sexual touching.

The victim told police she had been left with ‘finger-mark’ bruising from Khazari’s ‘clasping’ hands following the ordeal. She threw a £5 note at him through the window for the hand wash and drove off in distress.

The woman’s ordeal began after she pulled into Crystal Car Wash, at Manchester Road, Castleton, Rochdale, at 1.30pm on December 12.

She ordered a £5 hand wash, and after Khazari’s colleague had finished soaping and rinsing the vehicle, Khazari beckoned the woman forward so he could dry it. He asked her to unlock the doors so he could clean inside.

He put one hand on the roof and with the other wiped the inside of the windscreen before reaching over, grabbing hold of the victim’s calf, and saying ‘nice boots,’ as looked directly at her.

Khazari then moved his way up her right leg while saying, ‘ooh... nice legs.’

Prosecutor Robin Lynch told District Judge Nicholas Sanders the victim ‘froze at this point, she was in shock.’

Khazari then walked away from her car before returning with more cleaning materials and began to spray something inside her car.

She told him ‘no thanks,’ and that she wanted to close the door, which Khazari was blocking. He then grabbed her right thigh, moved his hand up to her hip and said, ‘nice big a**,’ before squeezing her left upper thigh.

As she recoiled, Khazari said ‘only joking, only joking.’

Khazari denied sexual touching as he was tried before magistrates, but was found guilty. Mr Lynch said: “She said she wouldn’t wish this on anyone, she felt so degraded.”

Despite Khazari denying the offence, his defence conceded it was an ‘extremely unpleasant experience’ for the victim.

Khazari was ordered to serve a 26-week jail sentence, suspended for two years, with a 60-day rehabilitation activity requirement, 180 hours of unpaid work, £620 in costs, a £115 victim surcharge and £200 compensation.
