Dodgy drug dealer in firing line as Michelle goes on the warpath

-

IT looks like a dramatic showdown is coming on Coronation Street involving Michelle Connor and shady drug dealer Rich. A furious Michelle, played by Kym Marsh, appears to be held back during upcoming angry scenes being filmed for the ITV1 soap in Manchester.

Michelle is flanked by her supportive relatives Kate and Maria, played by Faye Brookes and Samia Longchambon, as she shouts angrily at dodgy drug dealer Rich who is an old pal of her beau Robert Preston.

Bistro boss Robert, played by Tristan Gemmill, can be seen grabbing Rich in a violent grip. And it appears he has to be restrained by friend and neighbour Zeedan Nazir as the row unfolds.

It seems that Michelle has her pick of admirers rushing to come to her aid. Also involved in the action, filmed in Trafford, is Michelle’s ex boyfriend Will, played by Leon Ockenden, who has been bringing out Robert’s jealous streak since he reappeared in Weatherfield recently.

Her childhood sweetheart Will almost broke up Michelle’s marriage to Steve McDonald when she was tempted to have a fling with him. But now she is with chef Robert.

Rich first made his appearance on the Corrie cobbles selling drugs to Bistro worker Daniel Osbourne. He’s been hanging around the area and blackmailing Robert, who clearly has things in his past he’d like to keep secret from Michelle.

And there was bloodshed in the bistro when he accidentally stabbed Chesney Brown with a broken bottle while showing his violent streak.

Earlier this month the cobbles were in chaos as a clearly wired Rich demanded Robert laundered his drugs money, or he would reveal all about his dark past. Rich grabbed a broken bottle just as Chesney, played by Sam Aston, entered the bistro and he collapsed to the ground clutching his stab wound.

Nasty Rich has vowed that he’ll spill all the juicy details to Michelle if Robert doesn’t help him with his crimes.

Earlier this year producer Kate Oates teased about Michelle and Robert’s relationship: “We’ve got some great stuff for Robert and Michelle. Somebody from Robert’s past comes along which will see them facing their first problem together.

“That will be a test of how strong a partnership they are.

“At the same time we also have Michelle’s ex, Will, back on the scene who she almost cheated on Steve with him in the past.”
