A MANCHESTER apartment has been named as one of the 30 best holiday homes on the planet.
‘The Bridge’ made it onto the winning list in TripAdvisor’s first ever Travellers’ Choice awards for Rental, alongside the likes of Greek villas and Costa Rican bolt holes.
The ranking is based on traveller reviews and opinions, as well as service provided during the booking process.
The list was broken down into three categories, with The Bridge coming out on top in the ‘affordable’ range.
The two bedroom, two bathroom apartment sleeps up to six people and prices start from £100 a night.
It sits in a quiet spot close to the Lowry Hotel, on the border with Salford.
Its listing on the site explains that ‘it will take you less than a five minute walk to enjoy cocktails in Australasia, Manchester House or a ten minute walk to the Cloud 23 at the Hilton Hotel.’
One reviewer said of The Bridge: “As soon as we arrived outside the building we could tell we’d picked a great place here, overlooking the quayside and extremely central. The flat was modern, spacious, bright and had everything we were looking for.”
