Hard house! Eyes down for more Bongo’s Bingo
CRAZY rave bingo night Bongo’s Bingo is heading back to Manchester for a series of events at the city’s Albert Hall.
The chaotic version of the classic game of house which features rave intervals, dance offs and quirky prizes, has become something of a phenomenon with organisers soon to take it for residences in Ibiza, Australia and Dubai. But first they’re heading back to Manchester with Friday night events in July and August at the Albert Hall.
The event has become known for its wild scenes, with revellers encouraged to dance on the tables, heckle the bingo callers and sing along to dance anthems on the night.
There is also the chance to win big cash prizes, as well as not so great prizes too.
The shows take place across the UK which continue to sell out in advance, with a vibrant mix of players flocking in from far and wide for the riotous reinvention of a particularly unique fond British pastime.
Organisers say that Bongo’s Bingo has to ‘be seen to be believed’ with how it mixes the traditional elements of bingo with danceoffs, rave intervals, plenty of heckling, audience participation, endless hands-inthe-air anthems and of course winning prizes too, from Henry Hoovers to actual cold hard cash.
No two shows are ever the same, yet there’s a familiar thread of distilled mayhem each and every time, and there have even be celebrity guests at past shows – including Boyzone’s Keith Duffy and Westlife’s Brian McFadden at the last Bongo’s Bingo event in Manchester in May.
Co-founder Joshua Burke explains: “We are really happy to be offering a series of special weekend shows in Manchester in July and August, so everyone in the city has a chance to come and play. It’s been an incredible last few weeks for us, everything from our second birthday through to launching residencies in Australia, Ibiza and Dubai, and we have got lots more planned too to reveal in the coming months!”
