City rule out moves by Aguero and Bravo

- By JAMES ROBSON

PEP Guardiola has ruled out moves for Sergio Aguero and Claudio Bravo.

The City manager insists both players will remain at the club next season - despite ongoing speculation.

Guardiola has maintained that Aguero, right, remains pivotal to his plans, despite dropping the Argentine for Gabriel Jesus last season and targeting Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez this summer.

Chelsea have recently been linked with a move for the 29-year-old, but Guardiola said: “You know my opinion on Sergio.

“I said many times last season and he’s our player. He will remain here.”

Bravo endured a miserable first season at the Etihad and has now been displaced as No1 by £35m Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson Moraes.

City are not actively looking to sell the Chilean - but could sell if he expresses a desire to leave.

Guardiola, however, does not expect the former Barcelona keeper to go.

“Claudio Bravo will be a goalkeeper for Manchester City,” he said. “He will be a City player next season. 100 per cent.”

Guardiola made Ederson the most expensive keeper in British football when singing him from Benfica - and clearly believes he is the future.

“Ederson will be for many years a good goalkeeper for Manchester City,” he said.
