I loved singing with the Pirates of Zanzibar show. I was sat right at the front and got soaked! They were so nice and we got to meet them all. Then I got to ride the Voodoo Pirate Ship, which went so high, it made my tummy go funny.

I never thought I would get the chance to feed lemurs. They were so cheeky and funny and climbed all over us. Marvin the sea lion was so skilful. He could catch things and balance things on his nose and do some really brilliant dives, splashing everyone.

“The leisure facilities at the site were brilliant. It was great to take time out to go for a family swim and to treat myself to a visit to the jacuzzi and the steam room while the children went on the fantastic water slides with dad.

The kids had a fantastic time, but then we all did. The zoo is brilliant. Not only is everything put on in an entertaining way, but you learn so much too. You can see the keepers really care about the animals and the park’s conservation programme is really impressive.
