A taste of Munich at the albert Hall

-

MANCHESTER’S Albert Hall will be throwing its own version of Oktoberfest, held on the same weekend as the original festivities in Munich.

After a successful launch in sister site Albert’s Schloss in 2016, the beer festival returns to the award-winning music hall this year, promising official Munich festival beers in abundance.

The change in venue also allows organisers to upscale the music offering this year, with live acts and DJs sets to get you dancing on the tables in no time.

From Marshall Jefferson to Norman Jay, to a DJ set by Tim Burgess, more than 30 artists will perform at four Bier Halle sessions including Bier Hall Soul Musik on Friday night and MCR HAUS on Saturday night.

Riot Jazz, Norman Jay, Marshall Jefferson, Tim Burgess (DJ Set), Twisted Tubes, Ghetto Child, Jonny Walsh (GOO), Yadava & Bolts (So Flute), Ghetto Child, You Dig?, and more will be supplying the soundtrack to a beer-fuelled weekend.

The Albert Hall is even hosting its own eating contest in the shape of the Wurst Olympics.

Oktoberfestival takes over the Peter Street venue from September 15 to 17. Tickets will be limited, from £5, and are available from See Tickets now.
