More bands set to play in your Neighbourh­ood

MANCHESTER’S city-wide music festival Neighbourh­ood has revealed the second wave of acts joining this year’s line-up.

Scottish indie rockers The View will perform their debut album Hats Off to the Buskers in celebratio­n of their debut album’s 10th anniversar­y, while fellow noughties favourites The Subways will also make their live return at the event.

Also joining the bill are The Big Moon, Zak Abel and Isaac Gracie, alongside up and coming northern acts No Hot Ashes, Strange Bones, October Drift, Party Hardly and Team Picture.

The new wave of artists join previously­announced headliners Peace and Rat Boy along with some of the country’s freshest and most exciting names across a multitude of Manchester music venues on Saturday October 7.

Mossley up-and-comers Cabbage will be welcomed back after a phenomenal­ly successful year, along with fellow home-grown talent Rory Wynne, Jordan Max, The Blinders and Phoebe Green.

Other hotly-tipped acts performing at the festival this year includes Billie Marten, Black Honey, The Amazons, Superfood, Leo Stannard and The Orielles.

The Albert Hall, the O2 Ritz, Sound Control, Gorilla, Deaf Institute, The Zoo, Revolution Oxford Road, Factory 251, Underdog and the Thirsty Scholar will be among the venues staging this year’s gigs.

The inaugural event last year saw Blossoms, Circa Waves, Liam Fray, White Lies, Twin Atlantic, The Sherlocks, Louis Berry, The Pigeon Detectives and many more perform to sold out crowds and rave reviews.
