Ammies take the points on travels

SALFORD CITY picked up a hard-fought victory away from home after winning 2-0 at Telford United in the National League North.

The visitors didn’t have to wait long for the opening goal, as Jake Beesley made the breakthrou­gh after 10 minutes.

Salford then ensured they would come out on top when they doubled their lead on 77 minutes, with Michael Phenix getting the goal.

STOCKPORT COUNTY came from two goals down to draw 2-2 against Harrogate Town at Edgeley Park.

Harrogate raced into a 2-0 lead at halftime after Simon Ainge grabbed both goals during a six-minute spell.

Jason Oswell got a brace of his own in the second half though to rescue a point for his team at home.

CURZON ASHTON also had to settle for a draw after their match at Chorley finished 1-1.

Joe Guest netted for Curzon after just nine minutes to help the visitors make a good start, but Scott Leather equalised for Chorley just before the half-hour mark.

FC UNITED OF MANCHESTER were beaten at home after a 2-1 defeat against Kiddermins­ter Harriers at Broadhurst Park.

Daniel Wisdom scored for FC United after six minutes, but Emmanuel Sonupe levelled things up soon afterwards.

Sonupe was then on hand again to score a late winner for Kiddermins­ter and condemn the hosts to defeat.

In the National League, MACCLESFIE­LD TOWN were held to a 0-0 draw in their home match against Bromley.
