PETER Hook and The Light have announced a homecoming Manchester show as part of a new tour of the UK and Ireland this year.
The former Joy Division and New Order star will perform some of both bands’ greatest hits as he brings his Substance tour back to the city.
The bassist and his band will perform New Order singles compilation Substance in its entirety along with the Joy Division companion album of the same name at the Manchester Academy gig on Friday, December 15.
Fans can expect to hear seminal tracks such as Love Will Tear Us Apart, Transmission, Blue Monday and Temptation on the tour, which will also visit Limerick, Dublin, Belfast, Norwich, Salisbury, Bristol, Wolverhampton and Wakefield.
The tour will also include an exclusive London show at The Roundhouse in Camden, where he will be performing Joy Division albums Unknown Pleasures and Closer.
