TICKETS for the Manchester Arena benefit concert We Are Manchester went on sale at 9am yesterday and the venue was inundated with eager fans looking to secure their spot at the sellout gig.

“We have received overwhelming response to the We Are Manchester benefit concert and tickets have now sold out,” the Arena said in a statement.

It added: “All tickets purchased will have names printed on them and ID checks will be carried out upon arrival and we therefore strongly advise people not to buy tickets from unauthorised websites as entry might not be guaranteed.”

Yesterday, it was also announced that even more acts have been added to the stellar line-up at Manchester Arena’s huge reopening concert next month.

X Factor winner Louisa Johnson, pop star Pixie Lott and Manchester grime artist Bugzy Malone will join already confirmed artists including Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Courteeners, Blossoms and Rick Astley at the benefit show on Saturday, September 9.

It will be the first event at the venue since the attack that killed 22 people as they left Ariana Grande’s concert on May 22. The We Are Manchester show will honour the innocent lives lost that day and raise money for the Manchester Memorial Fund, a charitable trust overseen by the Lord Mayor of Manchester which will go towards establishing a permanent memorial to them.
