IT IS rocket science for high-flying Rochdale Sixth Form College student Samuel Flint who dreams of being an aeronautical engineer after acing his A levels.
Samuel, 18, bagged an A* in maths, As in chemistry and physics and an A* in his extended project qualification.
The former Crompton House pupil, of Shaw, is now going on to study engineering at Loughborough University and hopes to become a rocket propulsion engineer designing engines for the space industry.
Samuel said: “I’ve always loved space and aircraft – ever since I was about four or five.
“I love using my hands and making things so when I found out I could do rocket engineering that was it.”
Samuel, a keen swimmer who coaches at Aquabears club at Castleton baths, added: “I am really, really happy.
“When I got my results I was literally jumping for joy, I bounced around the room for a few minutes. I got exactly the results I wanted, exactly what I needed. I was over the moon.”
