BOLTON council has teamed up with the M.E.N. to sponsor this year’s property lunch.

They join current sponsors, leading Manchester property developers Capital & Centric, for the event, with hundreds of the region’s leading players in the sector set to turn out.

This year’s keynote speaker is renowned architect Ian Simpson – the man behind Manchester’s Beetham Tower.

The event is in its fourth year and will be taking place at Manchester’s Midland Hotel on Wednesday, October 11.

The property lunch will give attendees an insight into the state of the sector and the city’s key development projects.

A spokesman for Bolton council said: “We are pleased to be a sponsor of the M.E.N. Property Lunch and look forward to working with local, regional and national partners to deliver major development, regeneration and employment opportunities and drive economic growth.

“Our strong partnerships, clear vision and determination is already delivering results, including: Logistics North, the largest distribution, logistics and employment site in Greater Manchester where delivery giant Whistl recently joined Aldi, Lidl, Joy Global and MBDA, Transport Interchange and Bolton Central, the £48m development improving connectivity and accessibility; and Newport Street, the £3m investment providing improved access to the town centre and enhanced public realm.

“A £1bn transformation of Bolton town centre is underway with £100m from the council and private sector investors, with our initial focus being to consolidate and strengthen the retail core, introduce town centre housing on empty and brownfield sites and provide Grade A office space to meet local and regional demand.”

M.E.N. business editor Shelina Begum said: “We are excited to reveal details of the M.E.N. Property Lunch, which is sure to be a fascinating event.”

Tickets for the property lunch are £60 per person. For more details visit: www.men propertylunch.co.uk.
