IoD in search for north-west chair

-

THE hunt is on for a new chair for the The Institute of Directors in the north west.

The search comes ahead of the departure of incumbent chair Mike Perls.

The MC2 founder will complete his three-year tenure this December, paving the way for another influencer in the region to take on the role.

Speaking of the news, IoD regional director Claire Ebrey said: “We have had a brilliant three years under Mike’s reign; he has helped steer businesses in the region as they adapt to a wave of political change and Brexit.

“He has helped us disseminate policy and guidance supplied by the broader IoD as well as creating a relevant dialogue and support network for leaders of businesses in Manchester, Liverpool, Cheshire, Lancashire and Cumbria.

“I thank him for the hard work he has done and everything he has achieved for our organisation and its members.”

The new chair will take up their position in December; the desired candidate is someone who wants to undertake the role for the greater good of north west businesses – as well as the region’s economy.

Claire continued: “We want someone who will join us, not just to bolster their own credentials, but because they are genuinely passionate and committed to being a leader, a mentor and a voice for businesses in the North West.

“We want someone who is well connected and influential, with relationships in the right places, thus giving our members access to people who can help them develop and grow.”
