-

THE Real Housewives of Cheshire have paid tribute to the those affected by the terror attack at the Manchester Arena as the show returned for a sixth series last night.

The ITVBe reality show honoured those affected by the Manchester bomb by showing a bee logo, which has become a symbol of the city’s resilience.

Real Housewives star Leanne Brown’s teenage daughter Halle was only 150 metres away from the bomb when it went off at the Manchester Arena, but managed to escape.

Leanne, the wife of former Manchester United footballer Wes Brown, received a panicked phone call from their daughter minutes after the explosion on May 22.

She said: “The attack on Manchester is something, like others, we as a family will never forget.

“My daughter Halle will always remember how she felt that night, as will Wes and I. However, Halle is determined that the fear she felt won’t live on in her.

“We know how lucky she was and our thoughts will always be with those who don’t have the privilege of being able to live their normal life.”

Monkey Kingdom, the production company that makes The Real Housewives of Cheshire, said: “Everyone involved in the show wanted to pay tribute to those affected by this tragic event and to let them know that they are always in their thoughts, hence the inclusion of the bee symbol which has become synonymous with Manchester and its resilience in the face of the attack.”
