Together celebrates record financial year

CHEADLE-BASED financial services group Together has achieved record results for 2017.

The specialist lender saw underlying earnings before tax increase 21% to £193.4m, in the results for the year ended 30 June 2017.

Profit before tax also grew to £117.1m, up from around £90m.

Mike McTighe, group chairman of Together, said: “Together delivered another record performanc­e in the year to 30 June 2017, with sustained growth in lending volumes and profitabil­ity underpinne­d by continued investment for future growth and a correspond­ing increase in the scale, depth and diversity of our funding structure.

“We further enhanced our position as one of the UK’s leading specialist secured lenders, growing the loan book by 24.4% to £2.24bn, with originatio­ns averaging over £98.8m per month.”

The results follow a busy year for Together who bought out a minority 30% equity stake held by previous shareholde­rs.

Marc Goldberg, Together’s commercial CEO added: “This is another set of fantastic results and is a testament not only to the strength of our business model and our common sense approach to lending.”
