MORE than 400 employment opportunities will be on offer at the Stockport Jobs Fair.

The event will be held at Stockport Town Hall, on Edward Street, on September 26 from 10am to 2pm with over 30 companies present.

It is free and open to anyone looking for a job or career support.

There will also be organisations there that offer advice and guidance.

Companies that will attend include Sky, Manchester Airport Group, CFS, British Gas and TK Maxx, plus new employers opening at Redrock in November such as Zizzi, the Light Cinema and Pizza Express.

The annual event is organised by Stockport council and Jobcentre Plus.

Coun Kate Butler, executive member for the economy, said: “Getting the right help and advice as you look for work or the next step in your career is vital. The jobs fair provides a great way to get this all in one place. It is a great event that I would highly recommend.”
