LEON

-

Ockenden’s Coronation Street family turned out in force to cheer him on at the Lowry Theatre.

He’s currently scaring viewers as creepy stalker Will Chatterton on our screens in Corrie, and this week he’s on stage in Salford in How The Other Half Loves.

After completing his final scenes in the ITV1 soap Leon has grown period sideburns to play a womanising spouse in the touring production of Alan Ayckbourn’s tale of matrimonial mishaps co-starring former EastEnders actress Charlie Brooks and Four Weddings and a Funeral’s Sara Crowe. There to support their co-star at the theatre were Georgia Taylor and Lisa George who play Rovers Return landlady Toyah Battersby and Beth Sutherland, and Angela Lonsdale, who played police officer Emma Taylor in Corrie. And they were joined by TV presenter Jenny Powell and Shameless actor couple Ben Batt and Rebecca Atkinson.

Sharing a photo of herself with Georgia and Jenny, Angela tweeted: “Top night with these beauty’s @ JennyPowellTV @RealGeorgiaT @ BlackWhiteDenim @CharlieBrooks0 #howtheotherhalfloves.”

How The Other Half Loves runs at the Lowry until Saturday.
