Wrong site for a school

-

I HAVE just read your article about

the proposed destruction of a rare piece of green space in the middle of Gorton’s overcrowded housing estate to build ANOTHER school (‘You wouldn’t try this in Didsbury or Chorlton,’ M.E.N. September 12)

Not only is Nutsford Vale Country Park an essential help to the clean air in our environment but it covers a TOXIC waste dump.

I would not want any child to attend a school built on this site. Horrified of Levenshulme.

ON behalf of the Friends of Nutsford Vale Country Park and the communities of Longsight, Levenshulme and Gorton this is a big thank-you to the M.E.N. for publishing the article about Nutsford Vale.

The article exposes to all, the dangers of disturbing the toxic ground under park by building the planned 1,200-place school there. Daniel Heathcote, Longsight
