Fuming Hill fires out a warning to Dale players

-

KEitH Hill has warned his Rochdale players to start producing the goods – or risk putting the club in trouble.

Dale suffered their fourth loss of the season when were beaten 3-2 at MK Dons at the weekend, leaving the club 21st in League One after eight games.

And Hill said it was time for players to cut out excuses and show bravery in turning things around.

“i’m pretty angry at this moment in time, because there’s better from these players,” he said.

“that’s as agitated as i’ve been on the touchline for a long time, because the lads aren’t performing to the standard that i expect and i know that they’re capable of doing.

“i’m looking at their character and saying ‘right, you better start doing what you know you can do, because if you don’t play then we are going to be in big trouble.

“At half-time it got pretty tasty at times. it’s okay if you are going to go out there and do the right thing, but there’s a lot of excuses being made and sometimes it’s easier to use when you are losing matches because there seems to be a bit of pressure.

“there seems to be a book of excuses and a lot of the players are on different pages of the book of excuses - there are a lot of players making excuses for not doing what’s necessary to win football matches.”
